Finally, an Effective Treatment
for My Sinusitis
The pain of sinusitis made me lose interest in life. At my worst moments I felt even death was better than this.
I had consulted a number of expert physicians and had my skull cavities washed three times, but my condition still deteriorated. In the middle of all this someone got me even more scared by saying that if sinusitis becomes chronic than there is a 99% probability of developing cancer, so I must have a surgery on my left sinus. I consulted Dr. Anil Kanti Shil, an ENT specialist at the Combined Military Hospital in Chittagong. He listened attentively to my problems and suggested that I practice yoga and some other mind control technique besides taking medicine.
The word ‘meditation’ was unfamiliar to me. But I welcomed this new kind of treatment. Gradually my jest for life came back. I started getting better little by little. After one month the doctor declared me completely healthy and asked me to get rid of all my pills and just continue meditation and yoga. That is how meditation made a permanent place in my life.
