Quantum Zakat Fund

Zakat is one of 5 pillars of Islam and a farz or inviolable provision. Zakat is a small percentage of income paid by the solvent for the rehabilitation of the poor. Zakat brings blessings and good fortune in the life those who pay it.

Just as it is compulsory for the solvent to pay Zakat, it is equally important to pay it collectively. The main objective of Zakat is to help the destitute become self–reliant and generate momentum in the economy. These objectives can only be achieved when Zakat is used collectively. This is the reason why in the times of the prophet Muhammad (Sm.) and caliphate the main responsibility of Zakat management rested with the state.The result was so astounding that during the caliphate of Hazrat Usman ( R.) there was no one in the state to receive Zakat.

If the society and state fail to carry out this responsibility, then conscious people must organize themselves to carry out this program. The Foundation formed the Quantum Zakat Fund in 1996 with a view to alleviating poverty. Initially, members of Quantum family started to pay their Zakat to the Fund. Gradually they started collecting Zakat from their relatives and friends and deposit it to the Fund. As a result, the total amount of deposited money is increasing every year.

You can deposit the Zakat-money to the Zakat Fund at any time of the year.

Quantum Zakat Fund is always spent as instructed by the shariah for the welfare of the destitute and the deprived.
